BillKaval ("we", "our", or "us") provides a digital ledger and proof-of-delivery application. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application collects, uses, stores, and protects your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Details: Your email address (used for passwordless OTP login and account recovery), your name, and your business/shop name.
- Device & Security Identifiers: Unique device identifiers and hardware info used strictly for authentication sessions, rate limiting, and spam/abuse prevention.
- Ledger & Business Records: Customer names, optional customer phone numbers, bill amounts, running balances, and payment records entered by you.
- Bill Proof Photos: Photos of paper invoices, receipts, or delivery proofs that you explicitly capture via camera or select from your gallery.
2. Photo & Storage Access
BillKaval only accesses the specific photos you take or select to attach as transaction proofs. We do not scan, browse, or read your device storage or photo gallery outside of your explicit selection.
3. Data Storage & Security
- Local Device Security: Data stored locally on your device is encrypted and protected using native platform security mechanisms.
- Network Security: All communication between the app and our cloud servers is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Your synced ledger records and bill images are stored on secure cloud infrastructure with restricted administrative access to maintain system integrity.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to:
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account access.
- Maintain, calculate, and display your customer balances, bills, and payments.
- Back up and sync your ledger entries and bill proofs to the cloud.
- Protect our systems against unauthorized access, DDoS, and abuse.
We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal or business data to advertisers or third parties.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on trusted infrastructure providers strictly for cloud hosting, database/file storage, and sending login verification emails (OTPs). These providers process data solely on our behalf under confidentiality terms and cannot use your data for their own purposes.
6. Data Retention & Account Deletion
Data Retention: We retain your business data and bill records as long as your account remains active.
Requesting Account & Data Deletion: You retain full ownership of your data and can request complete account and data deletion at any time:

Upon identity verification, all associated cloud database records, backups, and uploaded bill images will be permanently purged within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
BillKaval is a business tool intended solely for business owners and trade operators. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
